Wedding Dress Blues
WOW! I just spent 2 hours going thru over 400 wedding dresses on theknot.com ... now that my perfect wedding dress is no longer an option it's gonna be hard...but i think i found one (within the first few minutes mid you!) that will be just about perfect! I showed it to fawN and she loved it! Can't show it here tho cuz the dress is the big surprise...and my friend who is sponsoring my dress would kill me if i let everyone know about it lol.

My first post
Today I start my wedding blog. I was gonna start it on livejournal, but I'm so used to blogging here...plus i have hello that uploads pics quick here.
I talked with Kevin alot last night about our wedding...what we're gonna do at the reception, what the favors are gonna be, etc... here's what i wanna do so far:
We get married around 4pm. Reception starts around 6pm. We get there around 7pm. They introduce the bridal party then us (to the tune of Starting Over by John Lennon). We head to the dance floor, everyone circles around us and joins hands and we dance our first dance (to "my best friend" by Queen) Then they play another song (haven't decided yet) and slowly introduce the bridal party (thinking everyone seperatly with their escorts, except the best man and matron of honor and Chicken and Jose) Then i think i want them to introduce the sponsors.
We aren't going to have a father-daughter dance mostly cuz Kevin can't have a mother-son dance. After the introductions, we're gonna start eating and have the toasts from the best man and matron of honor. After dinner we're gonna walk around and have a toast with each table (think Wedding Banquet) Then cut the cake. Then dancing for about an hour. Then the garter and the bouquet and the dollar dance. Then more dancing.
The favors so far we're thinking a jar of hot sauce with personalized labels, jordan almonds, wedding mints, homemade jasmine scented soap with wedding rings inside it....all in a chinese take out box with our names on them. For the tables we're gonna go with circular with no seating arrangements, a centerpiece of flowers about a foot tall with scented tea lights all around, a bell at each seat, and small champagne bottles with personalized labels. We're also gonna have a couple disposable cameras at each table for people to take pictures and a box to deposit them in. The tables are going to have linens. We're also gonna have personalized matchbooks...either matches or those matchbook notepads...in the favor boxes.
The decorations are gonna be christmas lights and maybe an entrance of a balloon archway. No streamers, they are rather cheesy.
I want to take polaroids of everyone as they walk in and sign the guestbook so i have pics of everyone and know who they are lol. We're also gonna have a tablecloth for everyone to sign as they walk in. Then I'm gonna embroider each signature and it will be a keepsake for us we can display all the time.
